Anna Beeman joined the Environmental Law Institute as a Research Associate in July 2018. At ELI, Anna supports research in various areas of environmental law and policy, including Gulf of Mexico restoration and recovery, as well as innovative financing for non-point source pollution reduction projects along the Mississippi River. She also assists with initiatives for the Climate Judiciary Project, the Environmental Law and Policy Annual Review, and is a contributing editor of the Environmental Forum. Prior to joining ELI, Anna spent her summers advancing urban environmental initiatives at New York City government agencies, such as the Department of Housing Preservation and Development and the Department of Parks and Recreation. Anna graduated from Vassar College, where she holds a B.A. with honors in Environmental Studies with a focus in Earth Science and Economics, as well as a minor in Sustainable Urban Economic Development.
