An ELI and Network for Digital Economy and Environment (nDEE) Public Webinar

As data centers continue to expand in scale and energy consumption, understanding their impact is more critical than ever. The recently released 2024 U.S. Data Center Usage Report from Lawrence Berkeley Lab provides key insights into trends in data center energy use, efficiency improvements, and the challenges that lie ahead.

Join us for a discussion led by the report’s primary author, Arman Shehabi, as he presents the main findings of this study. A panel of experts will explore the policy implications of these findings and examine the pressing research questions that must be addressed to inform future policy debates.

How are data centers shaping energy demand and grid stability? What roles do efficiency measures and renewable energy play in mitigating their environmental impact? How should policymakers respond to these challenges? This webinar will bring together leading experts to discuss these critical questions and chart a path forward.
