After the Storms: Restoration in a Post-Catastrophic Hurricane Landscape

The importance of maintaining wetlands restoration work while replacing and fixing New Orleans’ hurricane protection system has become increasingly apparent since Hurricane Katrina. Nongovernmental organizations and other regional groups must be actively engaged in the planning process to make meaningful improvements in coastal restoration and protection.
