Coastal Conference Highlights Administration's Position on 404 and Points to New Role for Wetland Scientists

The nation’s largest and most comprehensive conference on ocean and coastal policy was held in San Diego, California on June 1-4. Coastal zone ’83 was sponsored by the American Society of Civil engineers, the Coastal States Organization, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and over 30 other public and private groups. Of particular interest to wetland aficionados were presentations by the Army Corps of Engineers.
