West Virginia v. EPA: Analyzing the Supreme Court’s Decision
An Environmental Law Institute Breaking News Members Webinar
The Supreme Court will soon be releasing their decision on the landmark West Virginia v. EPA case. This important case involves the powers delegated to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to regulate greenhouse gas emissions through Section 111(d) of the Clean Air Act. In addition to the environmental implications, the decision may address broad principles of administrative law potentially affecting the manner in which Congress can delegate regulatory authority to all federal agencies. The Environmental Law Institute gathered experts in March to assess the oral arguments.
Join ELI and leading experts in environmental law, regulatory law, and the Clean Air Act for another webinar to dissect the Supreme Court’s opinion. They will analyze the impacts of the case and discuss what the decision will mean for environmental law, administrative law, and the EPA’s power to act on climate change.
