Rosa Brown
Rosa Brown is a fourth-year Ramsey Honors Scholar at the University of Georgia, where she studies international affairs and English. As a summer 2021 Research and Publications Intern, she worked on projects about environmental peacebuilding, science communications, and local government regulatory compliance. Before working at ELI, Rosa interned with her local Public Defender's office, helping disadvantaged clients navigate the criminal legal system in Athens, GA. During her time in college, Rosa has studied abroad in northern Italy, worked as a researcher on projects about access to reproductive healthcare, courts, nuclear security, and gender in counterrorism, and served as a writing tutor and teaching assistant. She is a top competitor on UGA’s undergraduate Moot Court team and editor-in-chief of Georgia Political Review. Rosa plans to attend law school and pursue a career in government or public interest law. In her free time, Rosa enjoys reading, hiking, and learning new vegan recipes.
