The Environmental Law Institute has allied itself with Wharton Business School as a Strategic Partner during the school’s 6th Annual Conference to co-sponsor The Green Business Summit: Adapt-Innovate-Transform.

This event brings together executives and thought leaders from private and public sectors, with strategies, actions and case studies to guide business enterprises. ELI President Leslie Carothers will be a speaker for the Evolving Legal Framework Panel. Ms. Carothers is an expert in private-sector strategies in dealing with climate change, environmental performance measurement, environmental law enforcement (both federal and state), and environmental policy development and management (corporate, EPA, and state).

We will also hear from business leaders with strategic visions who are accepting the opportunity to shape new laws and rules, as they create and market products and services that are already generating substantial revenues and profits—or have the potential to thrive—in this new environment. One of the keynote speakers will be Kathleen Matthews, Marriott’s EVP who has led their widely acclaimed Green Marriott program, which has grown dramatically since its inception to become one of the most comprehensive in the corporate world, and building bridges to their workforce, suppliers, and communities.

Investing in green businesses, clean-tech solutions, legal issues, and climate change are among the many topics to be discussed.
