Staying on top of the legal and policy developments in the climate change arena is no small task. As a special service to our institutional members, the Environmental Law Institute provides a series of monthly conference calls with national experts on climate law and policy to keep you up to date and to answer your questions.

Topics to be addressed in this month's call:

  • Update on EPA's power plant GHG rules, including major issues taking shape with the 111(d) rule
  • Briefing on Warsaw (COP 19)
  • California Sen. Fran Pavley (D) plans to introduce legislation to establish greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets that go beyond the 2020 goal mandated under the Global Warming Solutions Act, directing the California Air Resources Board and other relevant agencies to develop a road map to cut emissions to 80 percent below 1990 levels by 2050
  • RGGI States Recommend that EPA Support Flexible Market-Based Carbon Pollution Programs
  • New York State Public Service Commission determined that the Commission does not have jurisdiction over publicly available EV charging stations
  • President Obama Establishes Task Force on Climate Change Preparedness comprised of state, local, and tribal leaders from across the country
