Summer School 2007: The Clean Water Act

Nathan Gardner-Andrews (National Association of Clean Water Agencies) and Sean Sullivan (Williams Mullen) provided an overview of the Clean Water Act.

Mr. Gardner-Andrews serves as Counsel to the National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA). He assists NACWA’s General Counsel in providing the Association and its municipal members with advice on legal, regulatory, and policy matters. He has experience working on a variety of Clean Water Act issues, with an emphasis on the municipal perspective to the Act’s requirements.

Mr. Sullivan is an associate in Williams Mullen’s Environmental Section. His practice involves compliance counseling and auditing regarding statutes such as the Clean Water Act, the Clean Air Act, the Emergency Planning and Community Right to Know Act, and the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act. Mr. Sullivan has significant experience with judicial review of U.S. Environmental Protection Agency regulations issued under the Safe Drinking Water Act.
