Summary

In a decision which should discourage such cases in the future, a United States District Court has rejected the initial challenge to the Coastal Barrier Resources Act (CDRA), Bostic v. United States. CBRA establishes the Coastal Barrier Resources System (System)- comprised of underdeveloped coastal barriers along the Atlantic and Gulf Coasts- and eliminated most forms of federal financial assistance within the System.
