Developing Performance Standards for the Assessment of Wetland Mitigation Projects

The ability to document wetland performance is critical for evaluating the success of wetland mitigation projects.  Kenyon College and the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency recently studied the differences and similarities between natural and mitigated wetlands in hopes of establishing performance standards for future mitigation project success.  Some of the authors of that study describe their findings below.
