It is hard to capture the immense range of issues facing the Gulf of Mexico currently, but those issues have clearly captured our attention. The Pew Research Center for People and the Press surveyed 1,000 adults from June 3-6 and found that 67 percent cited the oil spill as the news item they were following most closely. There are now 12 underwater cameras focused on the oil billowing from the leaking pipe to keep us attuned to the situation.
