Summary

Given the present trend towards wetland functional assessment, it has never been more important to understand a wetland’s hydrology. Thus, in the field of wetland replication, a detailed, predictable understanding of a wetland’s future water balance is the most significant factor in insuring the successful growth of wetland vegetation and the functionality of the replicated wetland for the intended values.
