Instream Flow of Biodiversity

Nebraska’s Department of Water Resources (DWR) recently granted the Central Nebraska Natural Resources District (Central Platte NRD) permits to appropriate water for instream flows in the Platte River. These are not for crop irrigation or power generation, but are the first permits approved for wildlife conservation in Nebraska.
