Looking for Reasonable Return from Assessment Methodologies

Few people have the courage to expose naked emperors. In the March-April 1998 National Wetlands Newsletter, Jon Kusler and William Niering have done us a favor by doing the exposing for us. I share Kusler and Niering's concerns and appreciate their effort to point out the problems associated with wetland assessment, but I couldn't help but feel a bit defensive.
