Oil and Gulf Coast Wetland Conservation

The May-June 2010 issues of the National Wetlands Newsletter contained an article entitled, “Celebrate Coastal Wetlands—Connecting Us All.” No one could have foreseen the irony embedded in that title, even though now, all of us have been connected by our grave concern for the coastal wetlands, wildlife, and people along the Gulf of Mexico since the April 20 Deepwater Horizon oil spill.
