Summary
Today, few people think of Iowa when considering wetlands- a face not surprising since the overwhelming majority of the state's wetlands have been destroyed. The efforts of the Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation are focusing attention on the decreasing wetland resource. For the past two years, the Foundation's Wetlands for Iowa Program has promoted preservation and restoration of Iowa's wetlands.
